2022 AHHS Bill G Robinson National Trainer of the Year Award
As a fifth-generation horseman, and with 25 years of experience with Saddlebreds, Morgans and Hackney ponies, Bryan Earehart is the proud owner and head trainer of Heritage Stables located in Greensboro, North Carolina.
With his calm and quiet training techniques, Bryan has proven himself as one of the top training professionals in the show horse industry. Known for his incredible work ethic, his attention to detail, incredible show ring turnout and honest way of doing business, Bryan has taken countless victory passes in the show ring and has put together incredible teams, resulting in many national, world and reserve world titles.
Outside the ring and training barn, Bryan continues to devote his time to the horse show industry. He is an active member of the UPHA, was nominated by his peers and sits on the AHHS Board of Directors, is on the American Road Horse and Pony board of directors, supports the AHHS Limited Breeder's Event, is on the AHHS Hall of Fame induction reception board and is the co-chair of the AHHS National Youth Committee with his wife, Katy.
Bryan Earehart- 2022 AHHS Bill G Robinson National Trainer of the Year Award
Katy Earehart has owned Morgans, Saddlebreds and Hackney ponies for almost 30 years and owns Heritage Stables with her husband, Bryan. Katy is an amateur exhibitor, who proudly works full time in medical sales, helping to better the lives of nurses and patient caregivers through safe patient handling equipment. She also loves being a mother to their 3 year old daughter, Ellie. Although Katy doesn’t work in the barn full time, you can find her volunteering countless hours as the American Hackney Horse Society national youth committee chair as well as for several other important projects. She enjoys showing her amateur roadster pony, Hollywood Star, and enjoys developing their breeding program.

David Earehart is a 4th generation horseman and has over 50 years of experience training Morgans, Saddlebreds and Hackney ponies. Originally from Michigan, David relocated to North Carolina in 2020 to team up with his son, Bryan, and became a part of the Heritage Stables training team. With over 50 world champion, reserve world champion and national champion titles under his belt, David brings an unparalleled level of equine expertise.
David was also the AMHA Golden Reins Training Recipient and AMHA Pyramid Award Winner!
Hannah is known for her organizational skills, her vivacious and enthusiastic demeanor, her commitment to the animals in her care and her willingness to teach and learn. Hannah received her education at Stevens College in Columbia, Missouri, graduating in 2013 with her bachelor’s degree and 2015 with her Masters in Business Administration with a focus in Strategic Leadership.
While Hannah has been working with horses for over 25 years, her first job as a professional came in 2013 at Linden Hill Stables with Lisa Hilmer in Kansas City, Missouri where she was assistant trainer and riding instructor. In 2014, Hannah joined Ellen Beard's newly formed Success in Saddles as a business partner and instructor- (which is now under the umbrella of Heritage Stables) where they relocated their program to North Carolina. Then in spring of 2023, Hannah continued her journey, and she and Ellen joined the Heritage Stables team.
As assistant trainer and instructor, Hannah stresses quality over quantity and focuses on the foundation riding and driving for all ages. Her focus at Heritage is to help grow the lesson program and assist with clinics offered at Heritage. As assistant trainer, her goals are to continue to learn from Bryan and to also focus on the training side of the business.
Hannah is a board member of the UPHA Young Professional’s committee and is a member of the AHHS national youth committee.
